Dr Ketan Karlekar (BDS Guys Hospital 1999)

Principal Dental Surgeon

Dr Karlekar qualified from the prestigious Guys Hospital, London, in 1999. He provides all aspects of general and specialist dental care with special interests in Crowns and Bridges, Implants and Endodontics (root canal work) and has completed many advanced courses in these fields, routinely treating more complex cases that other dentists are unable to undertake.

He is also a former Honorary Clinical Teacher at Guys Hospital in London where he was responsible for the teaching and training of undergraduate dental students for almost 10 years. He has an amazing enthusiasm and passion for dentistry resulting in him being able to provide the most up-to-date treatments for his patients.

Dr Karlekar has been working with dental implants for many years and in 2014 completed a year long course leading to a Certificate in Implant Dentistry and in 2015 completed further advanced training in bone grafting and sinus augmentation procedures. He is now able to offer a comprehensive implant service from start-to finish.

Lisa is our highly experienced hygienist and longest standing member of the practice. Qualifying in 1988 at the Army School of Dental Hygiene she has been at the practice since 1994. She has a gentle and caring approach and is very good with nervous patients. As a practice dedicated to prevention, Lisa is able to professionally clean your teeth and show you the best way to keep your teeth and gums free of plaque. She will also provide advice and guidance on diet and prevention of tooth decay.

Ann is our senior dental nurse in the practice and also our infection control lead. She has also obtained a certificate in oral health education. She joined the practice in Jan 2020 bringing with her over 30 years of experience in dental nursing and general dental practice, including implant treatment.

Mandy is our senior dental nurse in the practice and also our infection control lead. She joined the practice in Jan 2023 bringing with her over 20 years of experience in dental nursing and reception, both in hospital and general dental practice, including extensive experience in restorative and implant treatments.

Sarah Bonham

Sarah is our experienced receptionist and practice administrator. As a former dental nurse, she has a wealth of experience and is your first point of contact when you visit the practice. Whether you are a new patient, or an existing one, she is happy to assist you and answer any questions you may have with regards to your dental procedures as well as administrative matters.

After some 22 years, Sue formerly retired as a dental nurse from the practice in March 2017. She is well known to many of our patients and occasionally provides receptionist cover.
